That the Parliament recognises International Workers Memorial Day, which is marked annually on 28 April; notes that this global event brings together trade unionists and all those concerned with health and safety at work to remember those who have died at work; commends the trade unionists who have secured legislation to protect workers and compensate victims, and negotiated protections in workplaces to make work safer; recognises what it sees as the hugely valuable action taken by trade unions and trade unionists in promoting health and safety, and stands in solidarity with them as they continue to seek to protect and keep safe all those in work.
