Congratulations to Participants of the Glasgow Easter Egg Run 2025

  • Submitted by: Annie Wells, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 16 April 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-17197

That the Parliament congratulates all those taking part in the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Easter Egg Run on 20 April 2025; notes that this much-loved event has been a fixture in Glasgow for over four decades and this year will see around 900 motorcyclists and passengers take to the streets in a vibrant mile-long convoy of colour, noise and smiles; recognises that the event supports the work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, with participants raising vital funds to help provide state-of-the-art medical equipment, family support services and innovative play programmes for young patients; welcomes the move to encourage fundraising in place of chocolate donations to accommodate children with special dietary or medical needs, and commends everyone involved, riders, organisers, volunteers and supporters, for their continued generosity, energy and dedication to bringing joy to children and families across the city.
