Congratulating Scottish Asian Counselling Services

That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Asian Counselling Services (SACS) for the exceptional work it does in providing free and low-cost culturally sensitive counselling and mental health support to South Asian individuals and families across Scotland; understands that SACS was established in September 2023 in response to a growing demand for culturally appropriate mental health services; appreciates that SACS has secured grants from the National Lottery Awards for All, the Glasgow Wellbeing Fund and The Corra Foundation to expand and sustain its work; understands that the organisation has built strong partnerships with local Gurdwaras, Mosques and community centres to promote mental health and wellbeing, and wishes the organisation and its trainee therapists, associates, trustees and working group well for the future.
