Scotland鈥檚 School Pipe Bands Lead Tartan Week Celebrations

That the Parliament congratulates the Falkirk Schools Pipe Band, which, along with Renfrewshire Schools Pipe Band and Oban High School Pipe Band, participated in the 2025 Tartan Week celebrations in New York; understands that the bands joined the world famous Tartan Day Parade on 5 April 2025, showcasing their talents and celebrating Scottish culture and heritage on the world stage; notes that the bands went on to play at other locations in New York, including the steps of Madison Square Garden and Grand Central Station, entertaining audiences across the city; celebrates what it sees as an incredible opportunity brought about through music education for the young people involved to participate in international events that recognise Scotland and its cultural contributions, and wishes the bands all the very best in their future endeavours.
