That the Parliament notes the launch of the exhibition, The Art and Science of Pharmacy: 100 Years of Charles Michie’s, at the Aberdeen Union Street branch of Charles Michie’s Pharmacy; notes that this exhibition has been designed to explore the history of the pharmacy over the last 100 years, and features a collection of pharmaceutical objects accrued by Michie’s over the years, from hand-painted specie jars to stylish ingredients drawers; understands that Michie’s, which was first opened in Aberdeen in 1921 by Charles Michie Snr, has been owned and operated by the Michie family ever since, having been run by Charles’ sons, John and Charles, since 1963, and now operates seven branches across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; hopes that this exhibition is a great success, educating and entertaining those who visit it, and wishes Charles Michie’s Pharmacy all the very best in its future endeavours.
