That the Parliament acknowledges what it sees as the crucial role played by grassroots campaigners, schools, faith groups, businesses, and local authorities in securing and maintaining Scotland’s status as a Fair Trade Nation; recognises the dedication of volunteers and advocates across the country who, it understands, work tirelessly to promote ethical trade and global justice; believes that local action is vital in strengthening Scotland’s commitment to fairness and sustainability in international trade, and encourages individuals and communities who care about global solidarity to get involved in the Fair Trade movement, supporting efforts to ensure trade works for people and the planet.
